The rod’s taper is slower than the previous generation and painstakingly fine-tuned to provide that elusive balance of forgiving cushion and responsive spring-back that enhances jerkbait rhythm and control.
Designed to bring jerkbaits like the VISION ONETEN to erratic-darting life, it converts slack line rod work into crisp, controlled movement. Careful guide sizing and placement enable dynamic adjustments to line tension to quickly adapt jerkbait action to changing bite conditions.
The JERKBAIT SPECIAL’s torque-rich blank and forgiving bend is purpose-built for the VISION ONETEN Jr. all the way up to the VISION ONETEN+1. While it can handle more delicate action with the ONETEN+2 as well, aggressive action is better suited to the F5-72LV DIABLO-LV. The JERKBAIT SPECIAL is also well-suited to 3/8 oz to ½ oz treble-hook lures such as topwaters and crankbaits, adding versatility to an otherwise specialized performer.
